New team members
We have two new Eastern Suburbs Office staff members to introduce.
Adelle Rodrigues is our Communication Administrator, her role is centered on daily administration and staff engagement strategies to make sure everybody has the opportunity to participate in the training, social and community events that JBC promotes.
Adelle will run oter communication channels for JBC Eastern Suburbs, including the monthly Newsletter. Remember it is YOUR newsletter so please direct contributions, comments or ideas to Adelle so she can take them on board. For example, if you have a story about your experience as a care professional or if you can describe the training you have undertaken and how it has changed your work, share it in the monthly Newsletter.
Also, we are happy to introduce our new Eastern Suburbs Coordinator, Karren Osei, please be sure to introduce yourself next time you are in the Alexandria office. Just Better Cares’new office recruits are excited to be working with such a dynamic team and are especially looking forward to meeting you all throughout the year at company events and training sessions (posted in the Newsletter calendar and on the intranet) http://bitly.com/13sCOvi that we anticipate everyone participating in. Adelle and Karren look forward to getting to know you all individually. Just Better Care is keen for our staff to feel cared for too. We have a great support network that we implore you all to utilise more often. The industry and work that is done through JBC is amazing and you should all be very proud of the role you play in helping individuals maintain their independence.
Also the Coordinators would like to extend their appreciation to the following people for exemplary work.
The eastern Suburbs Coordinators would like to say a huge thank you to all the support staff who took on extra shifts over the Christmas and new Year period. We do not know what we would have done without you – Karren and Fiona.
Helen Thompson from the Sutherland territory is also being recognised for her ongoing care and concern for a client going through a difficult period with their health. Helen has kept the office informed by providing regular and comprehensive feedback. She consistently exhibits professionalism and has empowered the client to make informed choices with regards to their health.
The year to come
As we bid farewell to 2014 and welcome 2015, we hope this New Year brings joy, happiness and lots of satisfaction in all that we do together, to support our customers.
January is often referred to as a time for new beginnings, a time for challenging ourselves and renewing commitments in our Worlds of work and leisure.
We often also make new Years’ resolutions and set goals. Nut setting goals is the easy part – sticking to them takes planning and determination!
At Just Better Care we have set goals for the year. A major goal is to support you all as we transition to the ENABLEMENT service delivery approach and give you all the opportunity to UP SKILL. We’ve written the plan down and will be revisiting it to review progress, month by month.
We are offering ACREDITTED Certificate training that will give you the ACREDITTED MINIMUM LEVEL of competency to be compliant to work in the industry and the opportunity to earn more income. We have researched and tailored these personal courses to give you the best outcome.
I hope you will join us in achieving these training and certification goals, and feel the satisfaction that comes from knowing that you have gone beyond carrying out “tasks”- to bringing some joy into the lives of the people we care. Your warm smile and happy attitude can often be all it takes to brighten another persons day.
With Best Wishes,
Phillip
High Care Training
Apart of our Just Better Care promise to deliver premium services; We have introduced a 2015 training incentive for all High Care carers. We will be hosting a mandatory training session with a focus on high care procedure, ensuring all our High Care workers are delivering the same quality of services across all clients. This is a great opportunity to up-skill and learn proper technique for all high care situations. We aim to have each carer prepared and trained ready to handle anything. Please check your e-mail accounts regularly – and ensure the office have these addresses. We send vital information via e-mail.
