The year to come
As we bid farewell to 2014 and welcome 2015, we hope this New Year brings joy, happiness and lots of satisfaction in all that we do together, to support our customers.
January is often referred to as a time for new beginnings, a time for challenging ourselves and renewing commitments in our Worlds of work and leisure.
We often also make new Years’ resolutions and set goals. Nut setting goals is the easy part – sticking to them takes planning and determination!
At Just Better Care we have set goals for the year. A major goal is to support you all as we transition to the ENABLEMENT service delivery approach and give you all the opportunity to UP SKILL. We’ve written the plan down and will be revisiting it to review progress, month by month.
We are offering ACREDITTED Certificate training that will give you the ACREDITTED MINIMUM LEVEL of competency to be compliant to work in the industry and the opportunity to earn more income. We have researched and tailored these personal courses to give you the best outcome.
I hope you will join us in achieving these training and certification goals, and feel the satisfaction that comes from knowing that you have gone beyond carrying out “tasks”- to bringing some joy into the lives of the people we care. Your warm smile and happy attitude can often be all it takes to brighten another persons day.
With Best Wishes,
Phillip
Friendship Walk
The Friendship Circle brings a refreshing approach to assisting children with special needs and their families. In 2014, this event was held on the 7th of September and we were there to join in the fun.
The Friendship Circle brings a refreshing approach to assisting children with special needs and their families. Their creative activities are designed to foster a relationship between children with special needs and teenage members of our community, “buddies”, by drawing on the love, boundless energy and dynamism of our teenaged population.
Just Better Care is a corporate sponsor of this event and Fiona Moody, my lovely wife Cindy and I were lucky enough to attend on the day. It was hectic and exciting but such an awe-inspiring experience. We spent a frantic four hours helping out with things like registration and handing out t-shirts and I had fun playing lollypop man

Message from Phillip
Hi everybody,
The ‘silly season’ has arrived and Christmas is not far away. No doubt you are all under pressure with family and social commitments as well as working for JBC in the Eastern Suburbs, Inner West, St George or Sutherland regions.
I would like to thank each and every one of you for the commitment and effort you put into your work – and for the personal commitment you all make as JBC Care Professionals, to treat our clients with kindness and respect.
In 2014 we upgraded our JBC Intranet to better serve your work-related needs. We also had plenty of socials and training and plan to continue with more opportunities for everybody to come together at our events in 2015. I look forward to seeing you all in our offices on a regular basis.
Regardless of your faith, please enjoy the best that this time of year in Australia offers – great weather, food, socialising and travel and don’t forget to spread your joy and hope to our clients.
Have a great holiday period.
Phillip
